About me

Lives and works in Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung country/Melbourne, Australia

Iā€™m motivated by deep time, the nature of matter and the weirdness and wonder of quantum realities ruled by unseen forces and hidden energies under the surface of the everyday. Working through video, photography, sculpture, printmaking, and site responsive works, I use science research, speculative fiction and google rabbit holes to make art and understand my reality.

My arts practice is based in exhibition and commission format for galleries, public art commissions, curating collaborative projects and developing responsive audience engagement works. I work with a mix of site-response and field research within the physical space. These projects aim to engage a broadly diverse audience, through ambiguous and immersive narratives and images.

With 25 years experience in over 54 exhibitions nationally and internationally, including projects for: Science Gallery Melbourne, Dark Mofo, Bundoora Homestead Art Centre, TENKU Arts Festival Japan, Northern Centre of Contemporary Art, Galerie pompom, Testing Grounds, Bus Projects, Charles Sturt University, Bargoonga Nganjin Community Library, c3 Contemporary Art Space, Centre Pompidou (FRA), Linden Centre of Contemporary Art, Seventh Gallery, Strange Neighbour, and many more. My work is included in public and private collections.

As a curator, I foreground collaborative, non-hierarchical approaches to project inception, development and programming. Independently, and through organisational structures I have worked with a range of significant Australian artists, international artists and artist-led initiatives as well as a focus on collaborative relational works, practice-led mentorship and career development.

I have a BA (Fine Arts ā€“ Sculpture) RMIT and was the founder of seventh gallery and c3 Contemporary Art Space and am currently the curator at Bundoora Homestead Art Centre in Melbourne, Australia.
